For some unknown and odd reason two officers from this squad decided to have my membership of the RQYS cancelled. Reason. I sleep in my Land Rover. As a fourth generation Australian I enjoy the freedom of our country and do it legally. But anyone will discover the small minded attitude of SOME police officers if you choose to sleep in your vehicle in a free country. SOME police officers decide to take out their aggression and frustration on single men because they know their partners will back them up. They believe it their right to intrude into your personal life and be aggressive. I'm a 50 Father and believe I deserve respect from police. From this point forward I will never speak to police with a video recording. Why police think they have a right to work toward cancelling a membership of a yacht club is hard to understand or explain. What do police have to do with the social activity or choices of free citizens in Brisbane, Queensland. I'd really like an answer to this. The committee made a decision to cancel my membership solely on the word of these officers. This is an overreach of power and authority.
